The owners of this place clearly don't like to take responsibility. They've been on antibiotics and our goldendoodle had to be shaved low to allow the wounds to heal. At least, at LEAST, they paid for our vet bills. But they never told us our dogs were injured, never called us to tell us something was wrong, and never cared.
Excellent place to board your dogs. I have gone three times. Very clean. The owners are friendly and I felt that my dogs were safe.
My two dogs were left at Paws and Claws Pet Resort for about 3 weeks, mid-june thru early July, and when we picked them up they were both torn up. My chocolate lab had two swollen, infected eyes and a bite mark on the left side of her face. My goldendoodle had one swollen eye and bite marks all over his body. When we confronted the owners about this they kept denying that there had been any dog fights. They kept telling us that "they never saw any swollen eyes". Our veterinarian confirmed that these were in fact dog bits before we even told her we thought so. The owners of Paws and Claws Pet Resort were very rude to my wife and I, blaming it on our dogs and then he started cursing for no reason.
I recently took my dogs for a three day stay and at first I was weary because I've never boarded them before, but I was very satisfied with the entire process. This place is very organized and clean. The fenced area the dogs are put in is decently sized and I felt at ease knowing that the owners live on the same property. I've seen some reviews on this place where people say their dogs have been exposed to fleas but my dogs are on Bravecto which keeps them protected from fleas and ticks for 3 months, so this was never a concern to me. I think that it's up to the pet owners to take preventive measures to keep their dogs flea free, and the dog kennel shouldn't be at fault, because this place has allot of dogs so if one dog has fleas then obviously the rest of them will be exposed. All in all, this place gets five stars from me and that's saying something because I'm very particular about who takes care of my dogs.
Our family and dog, Mocha evacuated from C.C. because of Hurricane Harvey. We found this place & placed our pet in their care for 2 days. Very caring, pleasant people understanding of our dire situation, Susan & her husband took very good care of Mocha. And when we picked her up, we were charged a reduced fee for the 2 days because of the Hurricane. Very nice people & great place for our pet, I would definitely recommend this place!
For anybody who is looking for a pet boarding facility, DO NOT GO HERE. Your pet deserves better.
