I just cannot believe there are so many people rating such a university 2 stars +. I used to be a PhD student here in their business school. It was terrible. Full of ignorance "professors". Don't waste your life in such a place. The valley deserves a really university.

I would give this 'school' zero stars were it an option. This is an institution in name only, more of an insane asylum where you go if your soul desires to be broken under the yoke of inefficient bureaucracy. UTRGV is utter garbage for students and professors alike. Attempting to accomplish the most menial of common tasks results in truly vile assault on one's sensibilities. Save your student loans for a real school. Run far away in the opposite direction.
Good continuing education programs. Sometimes they have a lot of requirements to take a class, and other times it's easy. Overall, good experience in the Valley.
This place reminds me of Reynosa. Fresh tacos and wetbacks everywhere. It's a paradise for me. I love meeting everyone named Juan and Jose. I just love all the elote stands in the apartment complexes makes me feel like I just got my daca or crossed the rio for the first time.
