Not recommend, GMC rented a car for me from this Avis car rental and Avis employee not to friendly requested my insurance and a credit card (I told them why if I wasn't going to pay that GMC was, she said it was a requirement but she would Not charge anything with out my consent)on a Saturday after just having the car for 2 days i had a flat tire (due to a street pothole) so I called them to see what to do and they were closed so I googled Avis rental and it said I could call the # for roadservice which they never awnsered , so I put the spare tire on & was driving with the spare ,Monday morning called there office to let them know about the tire they said it was ok , then when I went to drop off the rental nobody was there even it was open hours ,I called them they said they had to go pick up a car that I can leave it there and put the keys in the dropbox , I said No that I needed them to check the car & drop me off at GMC then she said to leave it at GMC and have them check the car & because they were going to take couple of hours to come back .GMC checked it said everythings was ok .PROMBLEM like 3 days later they tried charging my debit card over $400 Without My Consent for the car tire .
DO NOT RENT HERE! UNLESS YOU LIKE A BUSINESS WHERE PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS LATE AND NOT VERY FRIENDLY. REGRET COMING TO THIS LOCATION. THE HOURS ONLINE STATE THEY OPEN AT 7:30 BUT IT IS REALLY 8:00. AND THE STAFF DOES NOT GET THERE TILL @8:15. SO WE WAITED FOR 45 JUST FOR THEM TO ARRIVE AND THEN THEY DON'T EVEN APOLOGIZE OR ANYTHING. THIS IS A DETACHED AVIS LOCATION MEANING IT IS LOCALLY OWNED AND THEY DO WHAT THEY WANT. GO RENT SOMEWHERE ELSE!
I called AVIS customer service, and they offered me to cover the price difference if I rent a car of the same class during the same rental period from any other rental service I choose. Since it was already past 6 PM by then and I needed a car before the next morning, I got a ride to the airport and rented from Hertz. AVIS later changed their words and offered to cover only part of the price difference. This particular rental office is awful and unreliable, and the AVIS headquarter is similarly untrustworthy. I will never rent from AVIS again.
Excellent customer service great car at amazing price.
The office was supposed to be open until 6 PM but it was closed at 5:05 PM, even though I re-confirmed the appointment for pick up one hour before. I called the cell phone number on the door, and the agent said the appointment was to be 5:30 PM (which is not true). Then she said someone might come to open the office in about 30 minutes. Then she said she was in another city and was driving back to the office.
